Coaches will evaluate and place the players on a team that best fits the players skill level and position. Within 48 hours after the last day of tryouts, the girls will be notified via telephone of the coach's selection for the player. An offer letter will also be sent via email. The players will have 72 hours to accept or reject the offer. Condolence letters will be distributed within 96 hours.
A tournament schedule has been provided to the coaches. Coaches will provide players with a schedule of the tournaments they have requested. Tournaments are accepted and approved by
CHRVA. Our club will not have any control over the acceptance process. It is possible that tournaments will not be confirmed until 2 weeks prior. If declined, the coach will
then seek another tournament. Please be patient, players will be informed as soon as the club and coaches are informed of tournament acceptance or any changes.
All tournaments require teams to provide work crews. Typically, a work crew includes a USAV registered adult, 2 lines people, a qualified scorekeeper, an assistant scorekeeper, down referee and a qualified up referee. CHRVA also requires an adult to be court side for all Junior events. The adult will be located at either the score table or behind the referee stand. The adult is responsible for keeping the work team focused. Teams must check with the Tournament Director before leaving the tournament. We will need girls from all teams to complete the scorekeeping and referee clinics online. The CHRVA website, www.chrva.org, will direct you to the clinics. Please see the tab above, Clinic for Scorekeepers/Referees.
